Stephanie Lyon and Margaret Ryan were among the first couples to be married in Washington State on Dec. 9, 2012. They met seven years earlier when Ryan pulled Lyon from her burning apartment building.
"It really is like a movie," said King County Superior Court Judge Mary Yu, who presided over their 3 a.m. ceremony on the first day that same-sex marriages were legal in Washington.
