In January 1952, the Seattle University Chieftans upset the Harlem Globetrotters before a sellout crowd at Hec Edmundson Pavilion. In an era before professional basketball in Seattle, the upset made national headlines and earned Johnny O'Brien's — the star of the game with 43 points — a guest spot on the Milton Berle’s Texaco Star Theatre.
